I teach a machine applique technique that utilizes a leave in applique stabilizer which after washing turns into fiber that acts somewhat like trapunto. We will be making Loris Smith's pattern, "Celebrating Summer" from Fit to Frame: Set Fifteen. I chose this pattern because it contains most of the elements you will encounter in applique such as circles, deep V's, curves and points. You can make the little quilt in the fabric of your choice.
